About Me

Up Close & Personal

Originally from Rockville, Maryland, I am now in Boston studying mechanical engineering at MIT. My passions include trying new sports, playing with my dog, and traveling the world. In my (very little) free time at MIT, I am learning how to draw, paint, build, and skateboard. My current goal is to learn how to board on all terrains!

Fun Fact: if you look up my home address on Google Maps street view, you can see me standing outside of my house!

Snowboarding

Learning to Get Back Up After a Fall

Snowboarding has been a passion of mine since 5th grade. Strangely enough, I love snowboarding not only for the risk-taking and thrill, but also for the wipe-outs. The feeling of cutting through fresh snow and weaving between skiers is unlike any other. The real test of grit is the moment you hit an ice chunk and go flying through the air, somersaulting onto your back. It's oddly humbling to realize that 10 years later, remaining upright can still be a struggle - but I always get back up.

Camp Kesem

Spreading Love, Magic, and Empowerment

Camp Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. We fundraise throughout the school year in order to bring these children to a one-week sleep away camp, free of charge! It gives these kids an opportunity to really be kids again and to have fun without having to worry about the responsibilities and hardships that they have endured.

Surfing

Because Learning to Board on One Terrain Isn't Enough

One of my goals in life is to learn how to board on all terrains. This summer in Israel, I lived half an hour from the beach so I relished the opportunity to practice shredding some waves.

Scuba Diving

To Fuel My Love of Aquatic Life

Marine life intrigues me and I have always loved everything water related. I hope to obtain my scuba-diving license soon so that I can continue exploring the ocean.

Softball

Retiree, Super-fan

I was a member of the MIT Varsity Softball Team for a year and a half. Due to a partial rotator cuff tear and a labrum tear in my right shoulder, I ultimately made the difficult decision to stop playing the sport I love in order to preserve my physical health. However, I am still very much a softball fanatic and often nerd out about the incredibly cool physics behind this sport!

Connecting With Nature

I am an adventurer, a nature lover, and a hiking enthusiast.

Wind Surfing

Up for the Challenge

A recent pursuit of mine. This is another future conquest on my journey to learn how to board on all terrains.
I have yet to take a picture of myself in action, so for now these will suffice.

Alpha Chi Omega

My Second Family

In this organization, I have met some of the most real, strong, and accomplished women that I have ever known. I am inspired every day to work harder and push my limits, knowing that I my sisters will always be behind me, supporting me all the way. They are incredibly loving and accepting, and I can't imagine life at MIT without all of them by my side.
