For a Grieving Friend
Losing a loved one is never easy. I wanted to make a small, simple project for my friend, just to show that I care and that I was thinking about them.

Laser Cutting
I decided to use a laser cutter to engrave this plaque in order to ensure precision and clarity. Originally, I considered using wood and laser cutting additional holes for "stars," but I ended up choosing acrylic because I liked how the transparency allowed the copper wire LED lights I attached to shine through.

I initially wanted to string the copper wire behind the plaque to imitate stars in the night sky. I later chose to line the boarder of the plaque instead in order to maintain the clean and simple look that I was aiming for.
Final Product
A simple, yet beautiful reminder to remain positive, even through tragic times.
